Pork......not sausage....perhaps....hmmmmmmm......ribs.....I don't think a roast would be good...perhaps shoulder......you really need fat to cook anything worth eating....

I've never used fresh pasta....well, gnocchi...but that's different...and I really can pass on those....

Pasta can make a difference....although the diff between regular chain store vs. specialty can be slim....once in a while you can find a really great pasta.....but then...it's always a pain to keep finding what you like....I'm not really picky about the "quality" of the pasta.....but the method of cooking has to be right.....

Visiously boil water....never turn down the heat....let it overflow if necessary....with a little salt...nothing like what you would see on TV....1/2tsp perhaps....and just a little oil...especially with rigatoni as it will help keep them from sticking.....never wash the pasta after it's cooked....and if you have the size....."fry" a little sauce with the pasta before you add the larger quantity of sauce...it add a bit of depth to the "noodle"

OK...you can tell...I'm addicted.
