Oh dear. That is very upsetting. Can anyone cajole them to get out of the city for a few days?

People in other parts of the country do not understand how widespread and serious the effects of PTSD are in NYC and Washington, not just on the part of the survivors and loved ones of the dead, but for thousands of people who were traumatized by simply being there. This is going to be an extremely difficult week for them.

I'll be sitting shiva that day: no TV, internet, phone.
