An ISP uses a computer with large memory access and high quality modems to connect "normally" to the phone lines thru a special line such as a T1 or faster connection. You may have a problem trying to use WaveRider to carry the data load that one would expect with an ISP hub. Spread Spectrum is not as fast, as I understand it the data rate for a single stream is interrupted periodically as the transceivers switch from transmit to receive, doing algorithm exchange to change freq, and perhaps there is an error correction handshake at the same time. On a Telco line this is all instantaneous as they are in what is called a duplex mode, receive and transmit simultaneously. So there is a limitation that comes with Spread Spectrum that may prevent tieing a large computer load into the system. SOMEwhere it routes to the Telco where fiber is the preferred medium due to its greater bandwidth. Call WaveRider and speak with them about it.
