Yes. And a kind of lost friend of mine has talked to one of the Steven Covey "coaches," and is planning to pay $2000. to become a coach herself.
She is the most disorganized living human, so she wants to improve in that way, but also to make what she believes will be 18,000. a year working maybe 6 hours a week after her regular work, coaching other people on the phone to get organized.
It smells like a pyramid scheme to me, and I got a PM from someone confirming that impression; but I'm not sure how the pyramiding part works,except that I suspect you are supposed to make your money mainly by getting new people who want to be coaches rather than by counseling, or coaching, people over the phone about how to be effective.
I didn't find complaints on the net about the organization by embittered people whose $2k went down the tubes, though. |
