AA, you may be interested to know that on every single occasion this year (and probably over the past 12-months too) the Dow has closed higher on the last day of the month than the 3rd to the last day of the month. The one exception was August 2002, where the Dow was up about 80points above the 3rd to the last day close, but ended up closing lower.

Here's my previous post on the phenomenon:

In other words, this is about as sure as it gets.

The lowest drop this year off the 3rd to the last day close was 227 points. We dropped about 200-points so far today, so I think you bought the low for this move.

I'm wiggle long DJX Oct. 79 calls at 7850 or so (I was working, so I can't watch that close).

You're pretty much guaranteed to get 8000 Dow on Monday, although we know things are not always 100%.
