Yes. Once you get into a major war - and you never know in advance when you've gotten yourself into one - on the other side you will not walk out the door you expected to or intended to.

Good piece. It should be required reading in the WH.

What he neglects to consider is the other side of the argument: if we wait long enough, Iraq will get nukes. And then all hell is likely to break loose.

Given Saddam's past history, do you believe he will EVER agree to real inspections that will actually find his nuclear program? Considering his record?
