I'd go for 97 if I was as healthy as he was. The way I feel some mornings I could die tomorrow and not care.

When I was a kid our neighbor died a month short of hitting 100. Up until the last 6 months he made some really nice furniture in his basement shop. I used to help him, picked up stuff off the floor, fetched things... One day when he was 98 he lopped off the last joint on his left index finger running some wood through a saw. He tossed the severed digit in the trash, wrapped a shop towel around the stump and kept working. Said he'd already worn it out.
