Hell, we'll be selling the B-2s to them when they become obsolete.

During the Cold War the Russians went for bigger and the US went for technology. Ie. the Ruskies built more and bigger missiles and payloads and we went for MIRVs, better targeting and more reliance on planes that could be reused. That road we took seems to be paying the best dividends.

Afghanistan. Laser guided bombs. Our guys would set up a laser pointed at a hill and let a captured Taliban guy look through it. They'd tell him the whine was the laser loading up the death ray. Meanwhile a F16 would be flying high and quiet and drop one. The hill would explode and the guy would be turned loose to tell about the "death ray".
