The first was reported in the press I am pretty sure.

The second is my own supposition based on the fact that the state supreme court justices have party affiliations and the majority are Democrats. They were construing a statute that said 50-something days and they basically said it didn't matter....and those who may have already voted will just have to vote again, I guess. They should have just told the Dems to stick with their original choice and ride it out. The guy's not dead or bedridden with disease....he just figured he was gonna lose. The statute is there to prevent both parties from doing that.
