What I wrote is this:

I think waiting until the American people are on board might be a good idea. They are distinctly unenthusiastic at this point about our going it alone. That won't be the case when it's clear we have no choice. The case that Sept 11 ----> necessity to invade Iraq right this minute hasn't quite been made sufficiently for the people to be persuaded that the risk and the cost justify a hurried action.

A few allies to share the blood and money cost would be nice, too.
