Hi mopgcw, The other company I'm aware of that is returning capital(on a very long term basis) to shareholders is Cohu. I'm a major long term(about 20 years) shareholder of their stock. However,as a defender of their past options issuing performance, I also note that the discrepancy of basic vs. diluted stockholders equity is now $8.82 vs $9.22 per share. Don't get me wrong - I think these guys are extremely conservative and excellent. As a business owner myself,I would never ask my employees and/or partners to take a cut in pay without myself first taking the medicine. I view this approach as a proactive step that would enhance all steakholder's equity.A course of action that has been sorely missing, and ,I suspect so unique,that it's leadership role model would well benefit all steakholders. I perhaps did not not qualify that sufficiently with my original commentary. I meant to by my full disclosure and may have done it poorly. I am impressed by your defence and have an enhanced genuine respect for this firm - based on your protective response. It is a wonderful thing to see a stockholder defend the conservative actions of a management team. It is the stuff that makes our society the best the world has seen.I am not familiar/loyal to this stock - but I'm intimate with Cohu in a similar way. It is indeed comforting to be confident in ones investment - during these times of great question and value. I believe they are truly wealth defining moments.
