That was beautifully said, OMD. And I agree. Most of the writers and artists with whom I've come into contact support their art by teaching or doing a variety of other jobs. Very few receive NEA granted, which are notoriously difficult to win. We depend a great deal on private funding, as well as our own jobs, to support the production of art because we believe it's a humanizing force.
