There are probably [my wild guess] more Americans who usually travel and spend up large than aliens visiting the USA spending up large. But it hasn't affected NZ, where tourism is up and the economy is booming along. I suppose many people think NZ is a safe place to go and get away from winter and see the sights [and maybe watch some America's Cup racing]. Since international travel is income dependent and the USA has more people with more money than anywhere else, I suppose they are doing most of the travel. So the disruption is probably better for the USA balance of payments than for other countries. Which I suppose is good for the US$ staying high [not so many dollars being sold in exchange for foreign currencies by travellers]. It's all good news for me because I've been betting on cyberspace for a decade. The more people buy mobile cyberspace gadgets [including cellphones] the better I like it. It's annoying when they waste money on travel, cars, hotels, meals, booze and trinkets instead of the latest and greatest cdma2000 phragmented photon cyberphone technology. Mqurice
