they want to know "why are you here", and "for how long". usually takes less than a minute to answer the 2 questions, and then you'r "on your way". Ask if you have any guns or cigarrettes, too. Used to be you could make a pretty nice profit on cigs in Canada. Last time I was in Canada was in 92 or 93, and it was $5 a pack there and ~$1.50 here in the States. You were in for a looong wait while Customs searched your vehicle if you didn't declare your cigs. First thing we'd be asked by the locals once we got to our cabin on the Rideau - "got any Marlboros?" lol! Derek
