I'm not sure I understand this post. Are you advocating that we replace the current UN with something that makes more sense, or are you advocating that the USA should abdicate any role it wishes to play and allow people like Syria head the security council and Libya determine who is violating human rights?

I believe that ultimately the world will be well served by some international body, but the current UN is a far cry from being about its charter.
