Whose mythology is THAT????? My impression is that Britain lost India because they wouldn't (illegally) kill one man.

If they have a fault these days in this area, it's being too d**ned civilized.

They had the largest empire in history- -and they gave it away. Who else has done such a thing?

So I take NZ got independence without having to shoot any redcoats? :-)

Hence the missionary emphasis bringing the ethics of modernity to replace the cannibalistic barbarisms of the stone age.
