Let's play devil's advocate...You advise Medigap policies for folks but didn't tell YOUR OWN MOTHER???? She "can't pay", so who do you think will? While using your mom as a cautionary tale, you leave it to the rest of us to foot her unpaid bill in the form higher insurance premiums. FYI...Cuba has free medical care for everyone, and it's warm there. You can put your mom on a boat and start a reverse trend!!!! Disclaimer...stories like your indigent mother's are why I feel our healthcare fails.
