Pearly_Button, That being the case, then there needs to be some significant changes in the trial procedure of capital cases. There is no way in the world that it "should" cost that much to sentence a criminal to death, and to carry out that sentence. Maybe we need to go back to the old ways in Texas. A grass rope don't cost much, and there are a lot of suitable trees to get the job done.

I think that these high costs are a result of society pampering criminals. Another fall out of such molly coddling, is that the criminal has more rights, and avenues of restitution, than the victims do. It just ain't right!!!
