I liked The Age of Innocence, too, but not enough to put it on my top 10 or even 25 list. Daniel Day-Lewis is one of my favorite actors. Which reminds me, on my top 25 list is The Last of the Mohicans. He was spendid in that.

The Age of Innocence really made me cry. I guess it's a Chick Flick.

Reminded me of a Merchant-Ivory film. I never pass up a Merchant-Ivory.

The best of them, at least the one I liked the best, is A Room With A View. Helena Bonham Carter, as fair as an English rose, Maggie Smith in her prime, Judi Dench great as always, Denholm Elliot at his peak, and Julian Sands as an innocent young man -- hard to imagine Julian Sands playing innocent, but he's lovely. Daniel Day Lewis as a prig, not his best role but always good.

Set in Florence and Tuscany. I wonder if Tuscany is really as beautiful as it appears to be in films?
