I am not in favor of banning tobacco, but would like to point out that nobody is stopping people from smoking in their own homes and cars, just in public places.

Cigars and cigarettes and most pipe tobacco smell bad, and make a mess, but nothing compares to the mess that tobacco chewers make, dirty ropy tarry saliva everywhere. Ick.

The logical next thing to be banned will be perfume, which some people can't tolerate, and scented products of any kind. Then it will be ugly clothing.

I wouldn't mind someone banning huge speakers in cars playing really loud rap music.

When I am stopped next to someone who is playing rap music really loud, I tune in to a classical station, open my windows and sunroof, and crank up my own sound system really loud. I should probably carry around a tape of something really good and loud, like Carmina Burana.

If I were banning things, I'd ban artificial fingernails with little designs on them.
