Aah, a fellow Philip K. Dick & William Gibson fan!

What do you say, CB, is there still hope for us? Given that we both love "Until the End of the World", as well as Philip K. Dick and William Gibson? :)

From Philip K. Dick, my favourites would have to be "A Scanner Darkly" (perhaps too dark for you), "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?", "Valis" (you say you didn't like it because it is "theological" but I took it as insights into a psychosis), and "Martian Time-Slip". I read Ubik and it was not bad at all. His short stories are pretty interesting as well - I just read the collection titled "Minority Report" and am now going through "We Can Remember it for You Wholesale" (the story on which "Total Recall" was based).

I read all the books that William Gibson ever wrote (and he did write quite a few) including the last one, "All Tomorrow's Parties". "Neuromancer" and "Idoru" are probably my favourites, although I have to admit that Gibson lost his throne to Neal Stephenson long ago. I said this to you before, but just read "Snow Crash" and then follow it by "The Diamond Age" and "Cryptonomicon" and you will know what I mean. The latter is probably the best sci-fi book that anyone has ever written, in my humble opinion.
