Yes, Opera is also a good substitute for Internet Explorer. BTW, Opera lets you change the agent string easily, i.e. the identification provided by the browser if any Web site wants to provide browser-specific data and queries the visitor. Opera pretending to be IE works at the majority of sites which "require" IE.

Snowshoe, both Mozilla and Opera offer the option of importing IE favorites. The favorites aren't destroyed by the import so you can always revert to IE if you want.
