Hi All -

Yesterday I was using my almost brand new 14 cup Cuisineart (which replaces my 20 year old 10 cup model) and dropped the cutting blade on my ankle. The cutting blade, being new, is about as sharp as a knife, scalloped and serrated. Sliced a flap in my foot 2 inches long and almost that much wide. Luckily did not cut an artery.

Spent the evening in Kaiser after hours care. Told them I think I might have cut a tendon due to peculiarities in the range of motion so they just put me back together and put my leg in a half cast and I have to go see surgeons this AM.

Not sure whether I will need surgery or whether the tendon was just swollen and numb. Will keep you posted.

I am on crutches to keep from putting weight on the tendon. Never used crutches before. Not fun.
