Several years ago I attended a financial conference in New Orleans and on a hot day remember sitting in a cafe in Jackson Square enjoying a beer and the sights and sounds of the south. Little did I know I was on the edge of death.<g> I remember taking a paddle wheeler ride down the Miss. for a few miles to an old homestead?? or something. I teamed up with the President of the Bombay Gold Bullion Dealers Association that day. A nice chap. It was humourous ordering lunch and this fellow was trying to tell the waitress he wanted a rice dish with no meat/pork?? in it and her saying in her drawl "Y'all won't notice the meat, there's not much in it". <gg> This guy was trying to honour his religious beliefs. At the conclusion of lunch there was his empty plate with a million tiny pieces of meat neatly shuffled off to the edge. The waitress came by at the end and said "How'd y'all enjoy lunch?" I thought I'd bust a gut laughing. He laughed too. All in all, it was a good trip and I enjoyed the conference and the visit to the area. C
