Murder Rates in Canada Yet, you never know if you may be close to getting murdered... for example. Many years ago my cousin who lives on Prince Edward Island and served daily Mass( 6am) was waiting for the parish priest to arrive from the rectory next door... This place is all farms, no industry and very close community. After the priest was an hour late he went over to the rectory only to find the priest murder and blood all over the bedroom... Shocking... They caught the two guys a few days later, they were looking for money... The men were escaped convicts and not from the area... Never did find out how they got to pick the rectory perhaps seeing the church they expected some cash in the house... Not in this parish..
