I agree, it is a real problem. Focusing on white lunatics at Columbine is not the most productive way of addressing the problem. We need to find a way to assimilate the folks in the ghettos and barrios into the dominant culture, so that they are more interested in education than wielding guns. It is a tough problem, though. I personally think that after school activities for latchkey children, including tutoring for homework, would help a lot.........
