It all seemed pretty normal back then. If only I'd known...

While my kids were growing up, a new band formed and started practicing at the house four doors down and across the street. We all thought they got better and better over the next couple two-three years and they started playing the local club scene. Suddenly, they moved out and burst upon the world as Metallica.
