People who want Lott removed from the leadership position should email their Senators and urge them to choose someone else to lead the party.

LAST WEEK, I said that Lott must be replaced as Majority Leader. Many others -- including Jonah Goldberg, Glenn Reynolds, Daniel Drezner, and Andrew Sullivan -- have expressed agreement. Well, let's do something about it.

If you have any Republican Senators, go to the Senate webpage, click to your Senators' webpage, and send them an email urging them to support someone other than Lott for the position of Majority Leader. I suggested Frist as a replacement, but anyone who hasn't made clear his nostalgia for the days of Jim Crow would be preferable to Lott.

Let's take Lott out via grass-roots activism!
