The article left out my favorite punishment, yelling and/or nagging. When mama yells, they come running. I think they'd almost do anything than listen to me when I raise my voice. I put an edge on it that sounds kind of like the buzzsaw in a sawmill. Taking away the allowance and/or the computer and/or the TV works, too. Also, no Saturday games. The nuclear bomb of parental punishment is no computer or TV games or Saturday gaming for an academic quarter, and is reserved for grades lower than B or excessive backtalk. I might let a C+ go by if it's not in an academic subject, but just once. Second time gets the nuclear bomb. I have very good kids.
