True enough. It's a shame she was never, and still is not, taken seriously by "professional" philosophers. She didn't exactly help matters much with her acidic attacks. And I'm not sure she was sufficiently aloof from her own ideas to accept legitimate criticism (of which there is much) and amend her ideas accordingly. On the other hand, as you said, I doubt she could have gotten much by the way of "legitimate" criticism from professional Philosophy during the time she was writing anyways, and by the 80s she was probably just too ornery and set in her ways.
