Kissinger is a practitioner of realpolitik. Things like civil rights and lives are simply an unnecessary annoyance from that viewpoint. Who advised Bush to appoint him? I don't know, but you appear to. Who? How gullible - or malleable - did they think everyone else would be...? I don't remember you pointing out before or as soon as his name was mentioned that he had fatal conflicts of interest. It was those conflicts that destroyed his candidacy, not his Vietnam/Cold War record, bad as that may be. Dr. Strangelove lives!
