I worked in Ohio, New York, Pennsylvania, and commuted to Connecticut. It's a lovely part of the country with its own special charm.

Depression doesn't run in my family, but I've sure had it. Not now. I think I beat it. It helps to have certain people leave.

I can name a dozen people who felt that their lives were saved when a certain jerk who had dominion over them and me retired and left the building.

Light boxes are fairly common around here because many people are affected by the short and gloomy days. Even in summer, we usually don't see the sun most of the time. We have maybe three weeks of cloud free days a year. They are pretty expensive, considering that they are just basically an oak box with a couple of fluorescent tubes inside. They are special natural spectrum tube. I think we paid about $350 for ours. Maybe $395.
