Apparently you do not support freedom fighters

I urge you to re-read that sentence, and note the "freedom fighters" in quotes:

Raymond: one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter
zonder: That used to be the case before 9/11. Now, nobody supports "freedom fighters".

Obviously, what I mean here is that one man's terrorist is not so much another man's freedom fighter anymore, as this War on Terror thingie got every group fighting a state condemned as terrorist.

The next time you see a word or a phrase in "quotes", take care to understand why.

Re: Turkey is "illegitimate authority" on South-Eastern Turkey

My comment was based on reports from Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch

Saying what, exactly? That the state of the Republic of Turkish does not have legitimate authority on its own territory??? Can you please explain this, because, frankly, it is one of the most laughable comments I have seen on SI (and that is against some competition).

Maybe you could find and post those "reports" from AI and HRW, and we could see where and how you have misunderstood them...

. It is based on the same use of the language as would be the case when I tell you that George Bush is illegitimately interfering in the sovereign affairs of another nation with his grasping for the reins of power in Iraq.

It pains me to point out something so obvious but South-East region of Turkey is TURKEY whereas Iraq is NOT America.

Do you understand the difference? Hint: A state has "legitimate authority" within its own borders but NOT outside them.

I assure you that you do not speak for everyone. :)

And I assure you that you don't know what you are talking about re Turkey & South-Eastern Turkey.

Tons of them here: rittenhouse.blogspot.com
My personal collection here: Message 17985939;

You want me to read through ALL THAT to fish out some troops in Iraq that some blogger alleges???
