At least Burnside had the sense to know that he was in over his head.
Once, at a band concert here in Chattanooga, I noticed in the program that a tenor sax player's name was listed as Braxton Bragg IV. I just had to know, so I approached him afterward and asked,"Are you really...?"
He put his face in his hand, bowed his head and nodded almost imperceptibly.
Poor lad, to live right here at the site of his GGgrandad's greatest shame...After high school, he may want to consider a move to, oh say, Bermuda? |
