Recently, on another thread, we got onto the subject of the Civil War.

The interest level displayed by other posters was considerable, to the point that it seemed a good idea to start a thread devoted to the subject.

All reasoned, supported viewpoints are welcome. Please be warned, however, if you want to engage in name calling you will be forbidden from posting.
