That's what I thought when I saw the 1st line of ypour post. Not too many. Infant mortality was high, pulling down the average and median, but even those who got to adulthood had a hard row to hoe- -no antibiotics, no germ theory, no antisepsis, ...

Probably far fewer heart attacks because people on the average didn't live long enough nfor that to be a problem..
