As I like to say, it is a game of inches. I can commiserate on the missed opportunities today:

This morning decided I would start to buy at 802, expecting support between 799-802 to hold for at least a mid-day bounce. Got my order in to buy at 802 just a tad late. Of course that was the low and it ran a quick 7+ points in the next hour.

Then shorted at 809 at noon, planning to cover at the 20sma5 on first pullback (lunch time scalp). Buy order sat at 806.25, but market reversed back up at 806.5 and I stopped out breakeven about two minutes later.

Only trade of the day. Had no feel for where we were going, but expected pretty much nowhere. Wish somebody could come up with a clean "count", here.

Wild guess says we sell off for a couple more days this week before a bounce. Market seems just so weak, it can barely reach 30 minute chart resistance before immediately failing. VIX is still a day or two away (at least) from a short-term buy signal. Daily CCI is getting close, tho.
