Probably. I remember my Father making a case for Chrysler back in 1982, his thinking was the Govt. could not afford to let them go down the tubes, just based on the unemployed they would put on the dole.
I don't think many people today realize just how bad things were back then.
Anyway, he bought a boatload of shares in the $2 range.
He also discovered a little po-dink chain called Wal-Mart back in that time frame..

On the Rat thread, when F was in the $30 range, we talked about all of the retiring execs and what was done (stock & option price wise) so they could cash out for big bucks.
This also meant we could, and did short the sh*t out of Ford, as the price was manufactured, like a Taurus.
So, what price is it a long now? $4, 5, 6?
