The University of Michigan's preliminary March index of consumer sentiment fell for a third straight month to 75.0, its lowest since October 1992, from 79.9 in February, market sources told Reuters on Friday. Economists had forecast a slide to 77.6. William: We usually see market bottoms with sentiment in the 70's... When the bombs fall over Saddam's palaces and there is mass Iraqi military surrender early on we'll see a nice pop in the market... Who knows, we might even hear that Osama has been in American hands for over a week... Jim
