Managers will listen to someone who says there is a new way
to save money, sooner than listening to technical people and
other good reasoning... I propose a direct mail campaign...
envelope must be printed 'The most cost-efficient remote
access solution inside' (or it will get archived vertically)
and contain two simple pages, but with reference back to a
good web site. Say it takes a man-month and a few thousand
in stamps. Thats a small investment that anyone can afford
to loose. Has it been done, and is it effective? I felt DR
hasnt been quite agressive enough getting the word around,
and this MCI example illustrates it. Constant pressure must
be applied, exhausting all cheap ways before using expensive
ones.
