The young preacher on his way to preside over a burial in the country, was running late and got lost. In a near panic, he stopped at a general store and got directions. He was confused by the roads and the lack of signage but finally roared up to the cemetery and jumped out. There he saw Cecil and Leonard shovelling the last bits of dirt. No one else was there. They had apparently all left.
He whipped out his bible, read the 23rd Psalm over the dirt, said a prayer and jumped back in his car and took off, thoroughly embarrassed.
Cecil turned to Leonard and said "That there was the dad-blamedest ceremony over a septic tank, I ever saw.."
