Not suggesting you give them up. Fact is though it does take a long time to fill the gas tank, and a lot of those journeys take a long time. The journeys maybe even be a tad boring. The external market forces will force the ideas to be considered. The idea is self marketing and self planning to a large degree. It's done while sitting behind the wheel -g-

Now when the first tunnels are built there will be a choice to use the freeway or a tunnel train. Even if there is fierce resistance to the tunnel train (Which I seriously doubt in 99% of cases) The government can tweek the freeway tolls and fuel tax to tune the publics desires.. Don't tell me a government has never done that before -ggg-

When I propose these types of ideas, they are often sink or swim situations. Unless you have a better proposal the idea will have to be followed. There are few choices.

No, a Hawley Smoot type act will not help anyone. Not when the Nation is being drained of wealth just to pay interest on the debt. As said, a large pool of unemployed will not help either. No tax revenue for the government.

Same with my semiconductor roadmap idea. Unless some one has a better blueprint, the idea is either followed, or some one else follows it. The better idea will win though typically.

Now, maybe my concerns about the stock market and the USA debt situation are misplaced. That those smart gentlemen and women on Wall St and at the Fed really do know what they are doing. Lets go upward and onward! In that case my LU shares and NOK calls will appreciate and provide me with a living. It's a "just in case" suggestion -g-
