By the way, does anyone have any comments concerning the companies
that make the equipment for 300mm wafers, ie.: SVGI or ASMIF??
These might also be good plays?

From what I have read, the industry is currently in the process of
moving from 200mm wafers to 300 mm wafers, as this will reduce costs
by at least 30%. Right now orders for 300mm wafers are mainly for
testing. It is expected that by the first quarter of 1998 the
industry will have the equipment able to handle these larger 300mm
wafers. With this in mind, I imagine that WFR shares will
anticipate the upcoming demand and trade above the 25-30 dollar
range well before April of next year.
