the point is that there isn't a single transit system that is self funded, not bart (which I think most would consider a success), or airports, or roads or Caltrain. And if you shut down roads we don't have an economy, same with airports, bridges etc. So this blind "I'm mad as hell and not gonna take it anymore dammit!!!" just gets really old when all the folks refusing to pay for transportation are the same people using the services. As for me, my issue is, how do I want MY tax dollars to be spent. Infrastructure is an ok allocation of resources as I see it, as are schools, since I have to pay and I don't have a choice. The tax cut mentality doesn't apply to me, that is the issue.
