He might have hated Bush Sr, too. Don't know. Whether Bush Sr. appointed him to his first ambassadorship doesn't much matter-- as you correctly observed -- and I already know, he's a career foreign service officer; but as you obviously don't know or fail to understand yourself, some career foreign service officers are outspoken liberals and don't like Republicans. Bush Sr. nominated a S.Ct. justice who turned out to be a liberal, too.

I don't condone "outing CIA agents," but I'm not as convinced as you are -- yet -- either that she was such a covert operator as implied, that she was intentionally "outed," or that a crime was even committed. The cyber trials and convictions that have taken place in the past few days without even knowing the facts are scary.

Wouldn't you be worried about being tried in front of a jury that had passed judgment before an investigation had started, let alone before the opening arguments were done?.
