I did post this already about LTC West... Message 19521609 I am not surprised that he goes to trial. I cannot recall a single case that I know of where a court-martial charge sheet had been signed and the case did not go to trial. We now have to hope that he gets a jury of combat experienced officers and not a bunch of staff pukes like the ones making this an issue. This case is going to make it very difficult for our guys to operate in the field. Some may be tempted to avoid taking prisoners. In a firefight nobody questions the number of enemy fatalities. It seems now they do count the number of enemy you scare. Sub Tzu wrote war is an art...and it is...but it ain't pretty art. This is an example of the art in the Army marksmanship program...They shot themselves in the foot and it ain't pretty.
