FDX is up only about two points since the strike began. It closed on August 1 at 62 15/16, and closed on August 12, over a week into the strike, at 64 3/4. It seems that the positive impact the strike will have on the carriers has not yet been factored into the prices...other carriers too have shown just modest gains since the strike, even as volume has been reported at 20% to 300% above normal levels (~50% at FDX). That's why I think buyers of the carriers have a rare and extraordinary opportunity at the moment.
