Hello Pezz, SARS JOURNAL 2004 & YEAR of the MONKEY VACATION DREAMING postings: T minus hours:
Ok, enough anecdotes about doom and gloom. What should I do?
I could try to decipher this puzzle voynich.nu . Read about it here economist.com .
Or, yes, … <<vacation>> …
… Good idea! When the going gets tough, the tough gets going … on vacation, only to return later and enjoy the rest of the year Message 19641601 .
Where to go?
Hmmn … <<… onna south sea Island somewhere>>
… Another good idea! I was thinking earlier, and actually thought ever since when I was 16 years of age about achamchen.com , the island otherwise known as the "First Born" thetahititraveler.com .
Bora Bora, the First Born, was the first island to emerge from the water after the creation of Raiatea.
Do you not just adore cool names like Raiatea, meaning airtahitimagazine.com <<" Sky with soft light", the island that seems to stream with gold under the rays of the sun. Raiatea, the sacred One, former Havai'i, was the center of the "Maohi" World of past centuries). Bora Bora, in the ancient times, was actually called "Mai Te Pora" which literally translates to "Created by the Gods">>
I simply must do my pilgrimage now, before times run out (geologically speaking) and the island disappears back into the ocean that gave it life.
This First Born Bora Bora that was created by the Gods must not be confused with that after-thought Tora Bora, otherwise known as "Black Dust" achamchen.com ; for one thing, the French operates Bora Bora. We are not sure who runs Tora Bora, and we certainly do not understand why anyone would want to run Tora Bora, as opposed to run away from it.
We figure to dream approximately here and breakfast just exactly so achamchen.com .
In the previous posting about this pilgrimage, I had mentioned the issue with the current South Seas weather wunderground.com . The web cam image tahitinuitravel.com indicates that all is OK in heaven on earth.
I actually prefer the current reality boraboraisland.com <<The humidity during this time can be quite heavy and muggy and cloud cover is common. Storms are frequent, brief, and unpredictable … Temperatures will range from 27 - 30 degrees C, with the hottest months being February and March. Day to night temperature fluctuations are minimal … keep in mind that the sun is not on vacation, but merely less commonly seen than in the drier months. Being a French Polynesian Island, and tropical, even in the "wet season" you'll definitely get your fair share of sun on Tahiti Island>>
… especially because it reads so much like what I enjoy Message 17638139 <<June 22nd, 2002>> during summers in Hong Kong :0)
In my earlier post, I had also discussed what I would bring with me on my pilgrimage. I am restricting my luggage to one piece of carry-on, and the same for my wife. The journey is very much like the trip via the time machine I had been discussing over the years Message 19646483 .
Here is our Bora Bora survival kit achamchen.com , containing everything we need to begin a new life. I think of the packing list as a test and rehearsal for the emergency evacuation procedure :0)
Back on BBR-thread topic, speaking of contrary trades, Bora Bora is on the monetary regime known as the Pacifique Franc finance.yahoo.com . Doesn't it simply shout 'cool' ;0)
Yes, even the backwater French colonial province of Tahiti has an amazingly stronger and therefore more desirable currency than what you and I are playing for.
The Pacifique Franc currency has gone up 'only' 10% in the last 12 months as opposed to the Euro that had risen 20%. The holiday is therefore, in some metaphysical sense, more expensive than it would have been if I had done the pilgrimage earlier, but not as much as it could have been or probably will be.
I may be able if I am willing to check-in with the thread while I am on the island, unless Maurice's phragmented photonic pixels go dark and the gravitons stop spinning. If I do not check-in, I will put a photo spread of my adventures on the website upon return to Hong Kong.
I will not likely spend any time watching TV while I am away, and so I will make a game of guessing where the auto-pilot will have taken my portfolio by the time I return.
Chugs, Jay
