I am on the Vivus thread and had been discussing the same play with my Brooker. When I looked at Oct calls I too thought that the market had not factored in the permenant business Fed X will reap from this strike. So I bought. I know you bought leaps but I thought they were a bit pricey. I belive that the strike will last longer then expected and that rank and file will fource labor leaders back to settle. Someone's take (cant remember who ) was that the strike is really about labor trying leaders trying to get more control on the pesion funds not employee dissatisfaction. That makes sence to me. In any case UPS already higher pricing will not get lower and big users will spread their risks by spliting up the business. Do you know if FedX is union and has similar risks? Another possible play could be the company that bought Value Jet . I dont recall the name but they are a small air freight carrier florida based and obviously the deal with Value Jet is so they can adopt their name and try to lose the negatives associatted with Value Jet. If you know the name please get back to me.
