CC summary;

recovery is well underway and an upturn in semi equip w/ a bang -- any company not participating is truly suspect

noted fab announcement of utilization rate in excess of 100% this week

helx is seeing an expansion of mkt share in vacuum instruments and secure in cryo-pump market

lithography and wafer inspection equipment foray is encouraging

$35mm in revenues and given new breakeven they expect 40% GM; op inc of 10% of sales; & double digit eps in Q1

revs up 22% sequentially

rate of bookings accelerated over the quarter & continued strong through Jan

Japan performed well and expect that to continue

the vagaries of the deferred tax asset reserve accounting impacted eps by a couple pennies

orders are up 48% over Q3 and strong across all prods

BTB of 1.25x

semiconductor = 2/3 of sales

CTi 83% of sales\GP 17% expect this to be stable over the year

global support 36% of sales, still working toward 40%+ and targeting 50%

several new true blue contracts signed in the Q and expect that to continue

OEM 52% of sales, largest client 20% up from 17%

Headcount of 561 -- an increase all in temp manufacturing staff, FTE <500

GM of 37.4% up 340 bps over q3

$421k from Japan vs $163K

cash of $67.4 mm

CF from Ops of $3mm

DSO decreased to 62 days from 63

inventory turns improved to 3.6x from 3.1x

expect Q1 to continue revs 20% higher than q4; GM at least 40%; opex level; tax rate to be volatile; eps of 15 to 18 cents.

they do not need significant capex for the ramp -- can handle 2x without issue

it is another typical cyle though do not want to go out past 6 months; though if continues in a rational manner can last through '05.

Note -- errors are mine -- listen to the call as your impressions may be different. but i thought it was very upbeat. the company continues to be incredibly well managed.

regards

george
